Kathy has been with ARF for almost 15years and has served as President for almost seven years. She is extremely passionate about building onto ARF’s legacy and works tirelessly fundraising and seeing to the day-to-day operations of running the shelter. Kathy has two dogs adopted from ARF; Chloe and Bubba who she treasures. She has a business background and is looking forward to seeing ARF thrive for many years to come
ARF was founded in 1971 as a non-profit, non-destroy shelter. Since then, ARF has been staffed exclusively by volunteers. Every animal taken into ARF has a safe place until forever home is found. Unfortunately, ARF's shelter was damaged beyond repair by fire in in 2008. After much time and dedication by all of our volunteers and the public, ARF has raised enough money to build its own state-of-the-art shelter to help countless homeless pets.
The Mission Statement of Animal Rescue Foundation, when humanely and financially feasible is to:
Rescue, house, feed, clean and medicate stray, abandoned, injured, neglected and abused dogs, cats, puppies and kittens; spay and neuter when feasible (considering age and physical condition of the animal); rehabilitate the animals and find suitable, caring, permanent homes.
Be and remain a non-destroy organization, where animals accepted into the shelter by ARF will remain the sole responsibility of ARF.
Prevent cruelty to, and to promote the humane treatment of animals.
Assist individuals with challenges concerning animals.
Raise funds to support the work of the organization.
Guide the public in humane and proper care of animals.

Greg has been volunteering with the Animal Rescue Foundation since 2012. His love for animals led him to donate his time, as well as fostering some of ARF’s finest. Shortly after starting with ARF, Greg decided to go back to school and has received his veterinary assistant certificate. He has adopted 3 dogs from ARF who reside with his wonderful cat named Mr. Kitty. Greg can be found daily at ARF ensuring all the dogs are vetted and healthy.
