Hey guys, what's purring?  It's me, Teddy the Splendid Feline.
I'm currently hiding up in the ceiling rafter at the ARF shelter.  There's not much going on here now but you should have been here earlier.  They had the ARF Open House today!  It was amazing seeing all the volunteers again along with everybody who donated and wanted to see what those donations built.  They have their certificate of occupancy now.  They call it their C.O. and they got it on October 27th.  That's the same day the Red Sox won the World Series in 2004.  That should bring us good luck I think.  Harry doesn't like the date because he is a Yankees fan.  Oh well, nobody's perfect.  Haha Harry, I got you!
There was no way I was going to miss that open house. I must admit that I pulled a fast one on Harry to get out of his apartment and back home at ARF.   A few days ago I timed my great escape.  I knew that Harry always leaves the window open in his SUV and would be would be my way in.  I can catch a ride with Harry without him knowing.  He said that I couldn't go…Grouch.  He just wants all the food to himself.  No way! I just waited until Harry was leaving that day and scooted out the door.  Then I jumped in his truck and here I am with a full belly from the open house.  There were tons of cupcakes!!
Erin Wards little cousin Irelynn held her "Cupcakes for Cats and Dogs" at the Open House and the Wreath Sale was earlier in the day.  You would be amazed how picky humans are.  If humans drop something on the ground they won't eat it.  Let me end the suspense now… Teddy the Cat will eat it!!  Beats eating out of the dumpster at Chute Gates.  Hmm that reminds me I've got to check out the dumpster before I go home tomorrow.  I have to sneak back into Harry's truck again.
Right about now Harry is getting my note that I took off to see a "lady friend" down the road.  He won't be happy but neither was I when Harry and Jimmy Z. locked me out of the shelter a few months ago and I had to sleep in the bulldozer.  Oh, well.
Boy, I'm full.  I must have had at least seven or eight cupcakes and I've been drinking all the lemonade left over from Makendra's Lemonade stand.  Yep, it was a great day.  A few hundred people came by to check the place out.  I got to check the shelter out again and had a good meal.  Don't worry about me getting back to Harry's house.  He will be here soon and I will sneak back into his truck without him even knowing.  Stray cats like me have to be crafty.  I'm just looking forward to the spring when I can come to ARF and be the first pet in the shelter!!  (Unless Harry keeps me that is.)  Stay tuned.  Excuse me, I just heard the Chute Gates Dumpster.  Gotta go, steak time!
