Hit the Bricks, Kid!

Joe Ouimet

Decorative bricks called “Pavers” are being released by ARF and Wolcott’s Outstanding Teen, Erin Ward to be installed at the new Shelter. Winding sidewalks and memorial gardens will adorn the Animal Rescue Foundations Shelter grounds where your paver will be displayed.

The Pavers, which can be engraved to say whatever you want, only cost $50.00 and will last a lifetime. For years people at ARF will read your personal message or your remembrance of a pet or loved one inscribed on your ARF brick. Larger pavers can also enable a company’s emblem to be displayed. Prices for the large pavers are $125.00 and the special order laser sketches are $250.00.

The order form is easy to read and understand. The pavers can also be ordered online at ARFCT.org or on the Miss Wolcott website. For more information you may mail an inquiry to ARF, PO BOX 538 Thomaston, CT 06787.

I personally plan on purchasing three pavers. One with all my dogs names on it, another in memory of family and friends that have passed, and a third with my own personal message.

Don’t miss out on helping ARF one last time in getting us to our goal of being able to help homeless animals. Your tax deductible donation will not only help ARF and the animals but beautify our property while displaying your very own custom engraved message. You only get one shot at this opportunity!!

ARF would like to thank Erin Ward and her parents, Roger and Kim, who put this whole project into motion. Erin’s manager, Pat Towel along with the whole Ward Team of supporters were so much fun and did an unbelievable job. 15 years ago the Wards came to ARF to adopt a dog when Erin was one year old. 15 years later their daughter has returned and raised ARF over $20,000 by her 16th birthday. It’s an amazing story that reflects why ARF is so blessed and needs so desperately to be reopened. Every time I see a baby at

ARF I will ask myself if this child will return to us one day and be another Erin Ward. You never know. Thank you Erin, Pat, Kim, Roger, Diezel, and Munson Ward. They really are too good to be true.
